If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.\nRole Title: Renewables Design Manager\nBusiness Unit: Digital Infrastructure\nLocation: Leicester\nRole Overview:\nA confident individual to take full responsibility for design activities on projects of typical value between £0.5m-£5m that are allocated from award through to completion and to maintain and maximise quality of service and profitability.Working within a regional team and reporting to the EV framework manager in managing several site designs on a regional basis.\nIdeally, you will based in or around the East Midlands area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects throughout the UK.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nManaging the relationships with the client, subcontractors, project and design teams for the efficient development and delivery of designs on a project or bid.\nLead the design process in accordance with the Galliford Try Building Management System.\nApply and monitor compliance with CDM 2015 (including Principal Designer role where applicable) and the principle of prevention and safety in design.\nIdentify and mitigate design risk and realise opportunities through all stages of a bid or project.\nAssist in the selections of designers for a project and ensure competency checks are undertaken.\nDevelop and agree the scope and responsibilities for consultants and invite fees for the compilation and management of the project fee schedule.\nDevelop the design programme in conjunction with the Planner and develop, manage, monitor and report on the Information Release Schedules and progress and quality of design deliverables to seek advice.\nManage statutory and 3rd party processes such as Planning, Building Control, BREEAM.\nUndertake site inspections to ensure the As-built product meets the design criteria\nAbout You:\nExperienced in and knowledge of CDM 2015 and the Principal Design role.\nAware of H&S responsibilities and adheres to company policies.\nAble read and interpret design and construction programmes. \nUnderstands buildability and will challenge if designs do not meet the sequencing or construction methodology.\nAnalytical with advanced problem-solving skills.\nAble to develop ideas and present concisely.\nExcellent communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders.\nAble to demonstrate commercial acumen and managing of design change process\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.1 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
