If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.\nSenior Electrical Supervisor\nLocation: Hampton (with travel across the Thames Water framework)\nThis is a critical leadership role supporting the successful delivery of projects across the Thames Water framework. As Senior Electrical Supervisor, you will lead a team of Electrical Supervisors and work closely with Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and the MEICA and Commissioning teams to deliver high-quality electrical installation works safely, efficiently and to programme.\nYou will help create a safe and inclusive working environment for employees, partners and our supply chain, ensuring projects are delivered to the required quality, safety and compliance standards. You will also support the successful commissioning and handover of projects through effective planning, coordination and defect resolution.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nResponsible for the Electrical installation works of the assigned projects in conjunction with the MEICA Lead\nEnsuring a full understanding of the Electrical requirements of the projects, including an understanding of the commissioning requirements and interfaces with existing equipment and processes\nSupport the design team in the specification of electrical systems and general electrical design issues\nProviding supervision of Electrical Supervisors and electrical subcontractors to ensure a high level of H&S and quality and conducting snagging of electrical works to ensure compliance with relevant standards\nAppointment as Authorised Person Electrical (APE) under the Galliford Try Electrical Safety Rules. Undertaking electrical switching operations, controlling work on electrical systems. Ensuring that all persons working under his or her control are competent, experienced and qualified for the task they have to perform. Ensuring that routine inspections, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment are carried out as required. Undertaking regular electrical site safety inspections \nReview and authorisation of RAMS for electrical installation works\nSupporting the Commissioning team during the various stages of commissioning delivery and plant implementation\nEnsure snagging lists are maintained and progression of the completion of all snags assigned\nSupport operation and maintenance activities until plant takeover\nSupport the 28-day reliability test \nWorking with the client Asset Operations Team to ensure full integration with the existing assets\nEnsure all Electrical installation works meets the technical requirements of the project, including client specifications / Asset Standards and where applicable the Water Industry Mechanical and Electrical Standards (WIMES) \nEnsure that all the latest Galliford Try Electrical processes and procedures are adhered to \nEngage with specialist support functions including DSEAR, Technical Authors, Document Controllers to ensure early engagement and clear understanding of project needs and deliverables including timescales\nEnsure coordination of electrical activities with Galliford Try / Subcontract resources to ensure that the project specific requirements and programme are met\nEnsure regular electrical installation programme updates are included within the main contract programme in collaboration with the planner, and that regular progress meetings are held at the necessary intervals\nWitness testing of CFAT’s as instructed by the MEICA Lead\nEnsuring all paperwork / records / inspection & test check forms are maintained, operation and maintenance information from subcontractors is passed onto the document control team.\nEnsure all electrical snags and outstanding works are cleared with focus to ensure these are completed whilst the relevant contractors are on site\nEnsure the team work in a safe manner, and all Galliford Try process and procedures are adhered to\nAbout you:\nExperience working within the water industry or a similar regulated infrastructure environment.\nExperience leading and supporting teams across multiple projects.\nA strong track record of delivering electrical installation works through to successful project handover.\nExperience managing client relationships and resolving project delivery issues collaboratively.\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and report preparation.\nKnowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.\nUnderstanding of water industry processes and standards.\nKnowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment used within the water industry.\nQualifications:\nEssential\nHNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).\nCSCS or ECS card in an appropriate discipline.\nEUSR National Water Hygiene Card.\nSSSTS as a minimum.\nFirst Aid at Work.\nBS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition).\nDesirable\nSMSTS.\nCity & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Test & Inspect.\nCity & Guilds Authorised Person Module (AP12).\nDSEAR Awareness.\nCompEx FxF or equivalent qualification.\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.3 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
