If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.\nSenior Engineer\nLocation - Sheffield\nAn exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer has arisen within Galliford Try’s Infrastructure Business. Working on our £15m Sheffield town improvements project, you will take responsibility for the setting out, engineering control and quality in addition to coordinating and mentoring the site engineering team.\nWhat you will be doing:\nParticipate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.\nAssist the Site Agent in planning and coordinating the project and resources.\nWrite and review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure implementation including correct engineering checks, hold points, inspections and tests.\nManage the site engineering team including mentoring junior members of staff and coordinating subcontractors. \nEnsure works are in accordance with the Specification Highways Works (SHW), Project Works Information and drawings.\nEnsure accurate and timely records are kept including site diaries, quality assurance documentation, photos, as-built surveys, red-line drawings and test results.\nMaintain constant communication with the commercial team, providing detailed information to allow for accurate financial reporting.\nIdentify and assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site.\nAbout you:\nNVQ Level 3 or higher.\nSMSTS and relevant CSCS card.\nAbility and desire to work safely and create a safe working environment.\nAdvanced setting out techniques and able to use Lebel and ADM with knowledge of GPS preferred.\nProven leadership and delegation skills.\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.3 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
