You’ll provide leadership across multiple schemes, supporting and guiding up to four site-based Project Managers while working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners.\nThis role suits someone who enjoys developing people, building inclusive and high-performing teams, and delivering projects safely, responsibly, and to a high standard throughout the full project lifecycle.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nLeadership & Team Culture\nLead and oversee a portfolio of projects, providing clear direction, support, and accountability.\nBuild and support diverse teams where people feel safe, respected, and able to do their best work.\nCreate and maintain a “Knowingly Safe” working environment.\nEmbed and champion an inclusive F.R.E.D.I.E culture.\nSupport the performance and development of direct reports through regular feedback, coaching, and constructive challenge.\nHealth, Safety & Wellbeing\nEnsure the principles of CDM 2015 and relevant legislation are applied consistently.\nPromote shared responsibility for health, safety, and wellbeing across all teams.\nEnsure incidents and accidents are investigated thoroughly, with learnings shared and embedded.\nAppoint and support a Temporary Works Coordinator, ensuring temporary works are planned, designed, and delivered safely and on time.\nPlanning, Design & Pre-Construction\nWork collaboratively with designers to ensure designs are safe, buildable, inclusive, and achievable within agreed timescales.\nPlan and facilitate collaborative workshops where appropriate.\nEnsure all regulatory and pre-commencement requirements are completed before site start.\nOversee the timely setup of site offices and compounds.\nEncourage the use of innovation, technology, and modern methods of construction where these add value.\nCommercial & Project Delivery\nWork closely with Commercial and Risk teams to manage costs, opportunities, and project risks.\nSupport the selection of supply chain partners that align with project values and requirements.\nLead construction teams and partners to deliver projects in line with agreed budget, programme, quality, and scope.\nEnsure resources are planned effectively throughout the project lifecycle, including appropriate demobilisation and redeployment.\nStakeholder, Performance & Reporting\nSupport recruitment and onboarding of project team members in line with resource plans.\nEngage with the Performance Team to ensure all Construction Performance Framework/Balanced Scorecard (CPF/BSC) scoring is completed and evidenced.\nMaintain clear, timely, and accurate internal and external reporting.\nCommunicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, adapting your approach to meet different needs and perspectives.\nAbout you:\nRelevant CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).\nHNC, Degree, or equivalent experience in a construction-related discipline.\nPRINCE2, APM, or equivalent project management qualification (or equivalent practical experience).\nExperience managing complex construction projects or portfolios.\nStrong understanding of CDM 2015 and health and safety responsibilities.\nWorking knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts and commercial principles.\nConfidence using Office 365 tools to support collaboration and reporting.\nExperience developing inclusive, high-performing teams.\nInclusive and collaborative leadership style.\nClear, respectful, and adaptable communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and make balanced, informed decisions.\nCommitment to working safely, ethically, and responsibly.\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.3 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
