In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks, including loading and unloading materials, stock taking, and assisting in fabrication work, ensuring that all work meets safety and quality standards.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nControl plant movements with Yard \nLoading and unloading materials from deliveries, ensuring they are stored correctly and securely.\nGeneral housekeeping duties within the premises\nConducting stock taking and recording inventory to ensure materials are available for ongoing projects.\nDrilling, cutting, and dressing materials as per project requirements.\nMaterial chasing, ensuring materials are properly prepared for fabrication or assembly.\nCarrying out general labour duties to support the workshop and site teams.\nAssisting with workshop-based fabrication tasks, including handling materials and tools.\nAttending site to assist site teams with the installation of steelwork as required.\nEnsuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety guidelines and industry standards.\nAbout you:\nProven experience in fabrication or a similar workshop-based environment.\nValid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.\nStrong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites and in workshops.\nAbility to use a range of workshop tools and machinery, including drills & cutting equipment. \nExcellent organizational skills for stock taking and material handling.\nPhysically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks.\nGood communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.3 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
