Using classical and advanced microbiology techniques, you’ll assess microbial risks and provide insights that support sound decisions across winemaking, supply chain, and operations.\nYou’ll perform microbiological analyses, interpret experimental data, identify microorganisms, and communicate findings to laboratory partners and internal customers. Depending on the application, your work may include polymerase chain reaction (PCR), spectroscopy, environmental sample collection, challenge studies, and validation of microbial control and reduction strategies.\nWorking alongside winemaking, cellar, engineering, and operations teams, you’ll investigate microbiological and sanitation concerns and help implement practical solutions. You’ll also support experimentation that improves existing methodologies or develops new approaches, while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, environmental compliance, attendance, and scientific rigor.\nWhat You'll Need\nBachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry plus 2 years of microbiology or laboratory technician experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate, plus 6 years of microbiology or laboratory technician experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.\nIntermediate MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skill requirements.\nRequired to lift and move up to 25 lbs.\nRequired to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
