We are a passionate, global, and fast-paced team collaborating with several strategic partners and are committed to enhancing the overall agility and survivability of the modern warfighter and tactical operator.\nABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY\nGalvion is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer III to join our Engineering team in Portsmouth, NH. In this role, you’ll help design and build the next generation of advanced electro-mechanical systems engineered to seamlessly integrate with the human body and perform in some of the world’s most demanding environments. You’ll work as part of a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team alongside\nProgram Managers, Industrial Designers, Systems Architects, and Electrical Engineers to turn innovative concepts into high-quality products.\nWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING\nDesign mechanical components, assemblies, mechanisms, and electro-mechanical systems using 3D CAD/SolidWorks.\nCreate and review engineering drawings, including GD&T, BOMs, and supporting documentation.\nDesign packaging for rigid and flexible electronic circuits and interconnections.\nPerform structural, thermal, heat-transfer, and tolerance-stack analyses.\nDevelop prototypes, assemble and test systems, and use 3D printers and shop tools to evaluate designs.\nApply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to support both low- and high-volume production.\nWork with molded and machined components across a variety of materials.\nCollaborate with suppliers to ensure quality, repeatable assembly, delivery, and manufacturing capacity.\nParticipate in design reviews, troubleshooting, fault finding, and sustaining engineering activities.\nWork closely with cross-functional engineering and product development teams to rapidly iterate designs.\nSupport continuous improvement and engineering excellence initiatives.\nWHAT YOU’LL BRING\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.\n8-10 years of mechanical engineering experience in a product development environment.\nStrong experience with SolidWorks or an equivalent 3D CAD platform, including drawings and PDM.\nExperience designing molded and machined parts.\nWorking knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nExperience performing engineering calculations and analyzing test data using Excel, MATLAB, or similar tools.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to challenging mechanical problems.\nExcellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.\nClear written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.\nA proactive, customer-focused, and “can-do” mindset.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis is a hands-on engineering position that combines office-based design work with time spent in a manufacturing environment.
