This role is ideal for a technically strong security professional who enjoys designing and delivering security solutions across a diverse technology landscape. You’ll act as a trusted subject matter expert, working closely with technology, engineering, and IT teams to ensure Gamma’s security controls and tooling are robust, effective, and future-proof.\nWhat will you be doing day-to-day?\nHere are a few examples of what you could be involved with:\nDesigning, implementing, and maintaining technical security systems to protect Gamma’s products, applications, systems, and networks.\nDeveloping, maintaining, and improving security standards, controls, and procedures across the organisation.\nWorking closely with Technology, Engineering, and IT teams to identify, assess, and resolve security risks and issues.\nEnsuring modern, best-practice technical security approaches are applied across a broad and evolving technology stack.\nActing as a key point of contact between Group Security Engineering and Security Operations during high-priority security incidents.\nServing as Gamma’s subject matter expert for security tooling and technical controls.\nContributing to technical security thought leadership, helping to shape future security architecture and capabilities.\nWhat you’ll bring\nYou don’t need experience in everything listed—but we’re especially keen to hear from people with some of the following skills: \nExposure to a broad range of technologies including Windows, Linux, containers, and cloud environments.\nProven experience designing, developing, and delivering technical security controls.\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex environments and engineer effective security solutions.\nSound decision-making skills, able to recommend and justify appropriate security tooling and approaches.\nExcellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to influence and build strong working relationships across multiple teams.\nA proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous learning and improvement.\nDesirable \nCompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst+ (CySA+). \nGIAC (SANS) certifications. \nTelecommunications industry experience. \nSecurity engineering or systems administration background. \nExperience supporting projects and product teams to identify security gaps and define remediation plans. \nDevelopment experience and familiarity with threat modelling, security frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF), and risk management. \nWhat do we offer you?\n25 days annual leave + birthday \nSubsidised private medical insurance\n5.1% matched pension contributions\nEnhanced parental leave\nLife assurance and Income protection\nShare save and incentive plans\nElectric Vehicle and Cycle scheme\nEmployee discounts\nVolunteer day \nA few things to note\nWe require all candidates to be eligible to work in the UK and pass a basic DBS check.\nIf you don’t meet every requirement but feel you could thrive in this role, we would still encourage you to apply.\nThis role is hybrid 3-days onsite either rom our Manchester Newbury or London office.\nGamma is an equal-opportunity employer committed to building diverse, inclusive teams where everyone feels valued and can be their authentic selves.
