The role is responsible for designing, developing and supporting scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort and enhance service delivery across the business.\nA core focus of the role will be owning and improving integrations between key business platforms, including, Freshservice, Microsoft 365 and other enterprise systems. Using APIs, automation technologies and modern engineering practices, the successful candidate will ensure business processes remain connected, secure and reliable.\nThis position will also provide technical leadership across automation and AI initiatives, helping to establish engineering standards, mentor team members and drive the adoption of innovative technologies where they deliver genuine business value.\nThis role reports to the IT Automation and AI Manager.\nWhat will you be doing day-to-day?\nHere are a few examples of what you could be involved with:\nDesigning, developing and supporting automation solutions, integrations and AI-enabled workflows across the business.\nOwning and enhancing integrations between enterprise platforms including Freshservice, Dayforce, Microsoft 365 and other business-critical applications.\nDeveloping secure, maintainable and scalable solutions using technologies such as PowerShell, APIs, Python, Power Automate, Microsoft 365 and Copilot Studio.\nLeading technical projects from design through to implementation and support.\nProviding technical guidance and mentoring to Automation Engineers and Solutions Engineers.\nEstablishing and maintaining development standards, testing approaches and release processes to ensure high-quality solution delivery.\nWorking closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions and manage delivery expectations.\nTroubleshooting complex integrations, automation failures and system issues.\nIdentifying opportunities to improve business processes through automation, AI and system integration.\nKeeping up to date with emerging technologies across automation, Microsoft Copilot, AI, APIs and the wider Microsoft ecosystem.\nBuilding and maintaining AI agents using Studios while supporting governance across the corporate environment.\nWhat you’ll bring\nYou don’t need experience in everything listed—but we’re especially keen to hear from people with some of the following skills:\nProven experience in Automation Engineering, Integration Engineering, Platform Engineering or a similar technical role.\nStrong experience designing, building and supporting automations, workflows and integrations within enterprise environments.\nHands-on experience with scripting and development technologies such as PowerShell, Python, REST APIs and Power Automate.\nExperience integrating business systems and SaaS platforms using APIs, web services and automation tools.\nExperience working with Microsoft 365 technologies, including Entra ID, Microsoft Graph and the Power Platform.\nAbility to troubleshoot, debug and optimise complex automation and integration solutions.\nExperience leading technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers.\nStrong understanding of software development practices including version control, testing, code reviews and release management.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical business outcomes.\nUnderstanding of security, governance, data protection and compliance considerations when developing automation and AI solutions.\nExperience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI agents, generative AI or related technologies would be beneficial but is not essential.\nRelevant certifications in Microsoft technologies, automation, integration, AI or cloud platforms would be advantageous.\nWhat do we offer you?\n25 days annual leave + birthday\nSubsidised private medical insurance\n5.1% matched pension contributions\nEnhanced parental leave\nLife assurance and Income protection\nShare save and incentive plans\nElectric Vehicle and Cycle scheme\nEmployee discounts\nVolunteer day \nA few things to note\nWe require all candidates to be eligible to work in the UK and pass a basic DBS check.\nIf you don’t meet every requirement but feel you could thrive in this role, we would still encourage you to apply.\nThis role is hybrid 3-day onsite from either our London, Newbury or Manchester office.\nGamma is an equal-opportunity employer committed to building diverse, inclusive teams where everyone feels valued and can be their authentic selves.
