We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.\nWhat you’ll be challenged to do: During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing construction services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced construction leaders and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.\nIn this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:\nSupport real client projects by participating in construction observation and/or inspection of construction activities.\nInterface with the project team and task managers.\nReview and update submittal status reports.\nAssist with preparing schedule reports.\nMaintain project files/documentation including logs.\nManage online project document control system.\nAttend project meetings and assist with keeping minutes.\nWhat you'll bring to our firm:\nCurrently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.\nDemonstrated interest in construction management through applied coursework, prior internships, or other work experiences.\nMust have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management.\nAbility to thrive in a team environment.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nWill require outside work in a variety of weather conditions.\nAble to travel on an as-needed basis to other GFT offices, client offices, or project work sites, including out-of-town travel.\nA valid driver's license. \nCompensation: The salary range for this role is $21.00 - $28.00.
