Explore some of our signature roadway projects here.\nWhat you’ll be challenged to do: During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.\nIn this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:\nSupport real client projects by performing traffic analysis and design tasks, including plans preparation, report writing, and calculations for transportation projects under supervision.\nProvide support in multifaceted transportation projects.\nAssist in quantity and cost estimates and help prepare specifications.\nCheck calculations, reports, and drawings for accuracy.\nRun traffic analysis models and utilize CAD design software under guidance.\nWhat you'll bring to our firm:\nEnrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation.\nDemonstrated interest in transportation or traffic engineering through prior internships, work experiences, or applied academic coursework.\nBasic understanding of traffic engineering principles.\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation.\nWillingness to learn from and communicate with our experienced employees.\nProblem solving abilities and critical thinking skills.\nAbility to obtain federal security clearance.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nWhat we prefer you bring:\nPrior experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM software.\nFamiliarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro or qGIS.\nCompensation: The salary range for this role is $21.00 - $28.00 per hour.
