We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.\nWhat you’ll be challenged to do:\nAs an Office Engineer, you will play a key role in construction inspection services for culvert rehabilitation and replacement projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience managing federally and state-funded projects while collaborating with experienced engineers to develop expertise in highway construction inspection. This work is essential to the community, helping to prevent flooding, reduce erosion, protect local ecosystems, and ensure roadways remain open and resilient during extreme weather.\nIn the capacity, you will be responsible for the following:\nMaintain construction project records.\nInterface with the Resident Engineer and senior inspection staff on contract change orders, item payments, and material testing.\nAttend project meetings and assist in preparing meeting reports.\nAssist in the preparation of monthly progress reports and maintain project logs.\nReview daily inspection reports and quantity computations.\nAssist in determining schedule and budget requirements.\nAssign tasks and coordinate work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.\nWhat you will bring to our firm:\nNicet III or one of the following:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field \nEquivalent agency-approved experience\n\n5+ years of related experience, previous experience as an Office Engineer\nExperience with Construction Management, Scheduling, and Document Management software(s) \nProficient in SiteManager, CEES, and/or other client-based systems\nExperience managing submittals, RFIs, correspondence logs, daily reporting, and change orders\nProficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).\nOSHA Safety Training.\nExcellent communication skills.\nValid driver’s license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.\nCompensation:\nThe salary range for this role is $100,000 - $170,000 per year.
