Discover some of our signature power and energy projects here.\nWhat you’ll be challenged to do:\nAs an electrical engineer, you will support utility and power substation projects and clients.\nThis unique role will provide design of low to medium power systems of buildings related to substation facilities and related buildings for utility clients. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with strong building design experience looking to learn more about high-voltage design. Come join our team!\nIn this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:\nWork with our award-winning team serving one of our largest clients on their critical infrastructure projects\nManage quality assurance & quality control efforts for facilities improvement projects\nEngage directly with internal and external clients on scoping, budgets, schedules, and project updates\nOversee the design of electrical systems including low/medium voltage power distribution, standby/emergency generation, interior/exterior lighting for buildings and substation yards, access control, security and fire alarm systems\nTrain alongside our high-voltage power team in the production of physical and relay designs for substations and switching stations for multiple clients.\nParticipate in field surveys and troubleshooting. Train junior staff in the best practices for field work\nDaily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines\nProduce quality deliverables in all phases of design from proposal efforts through construction phase services\nDeliver projects on time and within client budgets\nEducate the team on evolving electrical codes impacting our clients\nWhat you will bring to our firm:\n4+years of experience in Electrical Engineering\nEIT required, PE preferred or the ability to obtain the license within the first year of employment\nBS in Electrical Engineering \nFirm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards and energy codes\nStrong field survey experience and hands-on troubleshooting is\nElectrical power design experience is required (low to medium voltage)\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nThe ability to work independently and in a team environment effectively\nThe ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment\nWhat we prefer you bring:\nLighting, and/or fire alarm design experience is a plus\nSecurity and communication design experience is a plus\nExperience using Computer Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD, MicroStation) is a plus\nBuilding Information Modeling (BIM - Autodesk Revit) experience is a plus\nExperience in Power Studies, such as Short Circuit Study, Coordination Study, and Arc Flash Analysis is preferred\nProficiency using SKM Power Tools Software or ETAP is a plus\nCompensation: The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $115,000.
