This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Chicago, IL office.\nWhat you'll be challenged to do:\nA successful candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively across multi-disciplined groups along with the ability to build consensus, fostering strong relationships enterprise wide. This PM / Senior PM should have a solid and recognized reputation for successfully completed transit projects of significant complexity, who has had leadership roles in transit project development through final design, and into construction and implementation. Additionally, it’s preferred that candidates have experience in planning and alternatives analysis through to the environmental approval process.\nPrimary duties include serving as Design Lead responsible for aspects of client and design-team management of T&R projects. Manage the preparation of plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates. Plan, organize, and supervise project teams to ensure good contract performance.\nLeverage project management tools required for major projects, i.e., scope, cost and schedule control. Proven experience in managing, coordinating and supervising daily the work of all the practices/disciplines involved in large T&R projects is required. A demonstrated ability to identify the requirements of the project, analyze and develop expert opinion and form conclusions consistent with project risks and the client expectations is essential.\nIn this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:\nWork with multiple disciplines and clients to effectively capture and document project scope.\nLead development of design and consultant task orders.\nAdvise management of various contracts using project data, lessons learned from other projects, and industry experience/best practice.\nSupport program-level deliverables and initiatives. \nLead improvement and standardization efforts of engineering and construction management task orders and blanket contracts.\nParticipate in various construction and capital program delivery enhancement efforts.\nFacilitate meetings with multiple user groups and technical leads throughout project lifecycles and program enhancement initiatives to ensure value add work-products and capture/incorporate lessons learned for continual process improvement.\nDrive new business development and grow existing client relationships by identifying opportunities to expand services and increase revenue within current accounts.\nWhat you will bring to our firm:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil or structural preferred).\nRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) required.\n15 or more years progressive experience working on major infrastructure projects with significant concentration of experience in T&R projects, experience with clients in the Greater Chicago Area strongly preferred.\nProject Management experience required with demonstrated experience at profitably managing major T&R design projects.\nExperience must include final design projects that included the management of project team to include (employees and sub-consultants) to deliver on time and within budget guidelines.\nEffective client management skills.\nExcellent relationship building and listening skills.\nCompensation:\nThe salary range for this role is $175,000 - $230,000.
