This structure is designed to provide a balanced experience across the different disciplines,helping you build core skills, professional relationships, and insight into real-world projects in a fast-growing sector.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nAs an Intern, you will be enrolled into the G&T Industry Insights Programme which will provide you with an understanding of all the roles available within our Infrastructure & Major Projects teams.\n\nYou will be assisting your team with various aspects of daily project work as requested by your supervisor, working with a certain level of independence to complete tasks, while also knowing when to discuss and ask questions to ensure the best outcome.\n\nThe role will be varied, and the actual experience gained will be varied across each sector you will be working in.\nGeneral Responsibilities\nIn addition to the above team specific responsibilities and In conjunction with your line manager the internship will typically include experience of the following\n\nAttending site meetings - depending on stage of project either design team meetings progress meetings with the contractor and project team\nLiaise with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to support project delivery and attend project meetings and taking minutes\nWorking directly with project managers to help implement the project contract and help monitor the change control processes.\nProviding administrative support to the team to help them perform tasks quickly and accurately \nSupporting the team in preparing a project schedule.\nAssist with Cost Planning & Estimating - Support the preparation of cost plans including measurement and help analyse material, labour, and overhead costs for construction projects.\nAssist in preparing interim valuations and final account settlements\nUnderstanding and insight into the client’s needs\nSupport Tendering & Procurement - Participate in preparing tender documents and evaluating contractor bids. \nAssisting the team in compiling contract documents\nAssisting in data collection, development and analysis to enable decision-making and goal setting \nRequired Qualifications & Skills:\nGenuine interest in infrastructure and major projects \nGood A-Level grades or equivalent \nExcellent communication skills \nAbility to work to deadlines \nAbility to work as part of a team \nExcellent working knowledge of current IT systems \nUnderstand the importance of client care & relationships \nTrustworthy and reliable\nAbility to prioritise work efficiently \nAbility to work to deadlines \nAbility to work as part of a team and on own initiative \nProactive and flexible approach to different situations\nDedication and commitment \nDesire to learn \nPlease note the following when applying for this role: \n\n1.0 Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor or support work visa applications for Early Talent roles.
