Launch your offshore Diving career with a structured development programme designed to take you from an entry-level Surface Supplied Diver to a competent Saturation Diver. Through a combination of formal training and hands-on offshore experience, you will develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to safely support construction, inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM), Decommissioning, and Rigging operations.\nYour responsibilities as an Apprentice Diver:\nThe main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to;\nActively participate in all office-based inductions and business stream familiarization programs which form a part of the training program\nRemain complaint with all operational and safety requirements when representing BSS on training courses and worksites.\nParticipate in all required training (including attendance of the 10-week consecutive diver training programme), competency assessments, and development activities associated with the apprenticeship programme.\nAssist in the preparation and operation of all associated support equipment under supervision.\nSupport offshore diving operations while working under the direction of appointed supervisors and experienced diving personnel.\nDevelop practical competence in surface supplied and saturation diving systems as training and certification progress.\nGain experience across offshore construction, inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM), decommissioning, rigging, and associated subsea activities.\nDemonstrate a strong commitment to personal safety, the safety of others, and compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and legislative requirements.\nMaintain training records, logbooks, and competence documentation as required by the apprenticeship scheme and regulatory bodies.\n You can make your mark as an Apprentice Diver if you are able to meet the following entry requirements:\nAge: minimum 18 years old.\nHealth and Fitness: ability to meet the medical and physical requirements associated with offshore commercial and saturation diving throughout the duration of the programme.\nWork Experience: exposure to the offshore working environment and rotational shift patterns (desirable).\nOperations: ability to complete and Pass the Divers aptitude assessment at a Diver training school where you are exposed to submerged diving activities and emergency response\nOperations: demonstrate aptitude and commitment to work as a rigger during offshore operations.\nLocation - Onshore and Offshore: ability to commute to the Westhill Office (during office training periods) and willingness to travel for extensive periods (during offshore training /assignments).\nTechnical: ability to demonstrate the aptitude, commitment, and capability to develop the technical competencies required to progress through the apprenticeship programme and ultimately qualify as a competent Saturation Diver.\nBehavioural: ability to demonstrate a collaborative approach and contribute positively to the safe and efficient delivery of offshore diving projects.\nWhat you can expect\nA dynamic environment: A job that allows you to collaborate with a talented team of experts from different backgrounds and contribute to making a significant impact.\nRewarding conditions: Besides a competitive salary, you will be part of a contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance and death in service benefit.\nCareer development: We offer you plenty of opportunities to bring out the best in yourself for example through (online) courses at our Boskalis academy. \nOpportunities to connect with colleagues across the organization: Through networking and knowledge-sharing sessions, events, and employee communities.\nExtra information\nYour team: you will report to the Diving Manager.\nWhere you will work: You will work both Onshore (Office and/or Training Centres) and Offshore (designated Diving Support Vessels).\nFull/part- time job: The position of Apprentice Diver is a full-time role: 35 hours per week (Onshore) with a combination of Offshore days (12-hour shifts).\nNext steps: Apply easily by completing the online application form.
