By working collaboratively, we continue to deliver complex projects and create lasting impact around the world.\n Make your mark as a Hydrographic Surveyor at Boskalis!\nThe Hydrographic Surveyor is a self reliant technical professional and is expected to initiate, carry out and report on all Hydrographic and topographic survey work for projects.\nMain Tasks:\nSetting up, installing, and then independently executing all hydrographic and topographic survey work for a project in-line with the safety, health, environment and quality standards.\nAssist Project managers in the running of projects of varying size.\nInteract with dredging plant which require survey input.\nAdministering the project survey data, performing all relevant calibrations, and reporting within the company QA system\nSolving technical survey problems during a project.\nSupervising trainees and junior surveyors.\nStaying informed about survey related trends and developments and suggesting improvements to the Survey Operations Manager on a detailed level.\nRequired Knowledge and Experience:\nEssential\nDegree or equivalent in a relevant subject, such as: Hydrography, Marine Geography, Marine Science, Land Survey or related field.\n3 years + experience in near and/or offshore survey industry.\nDetailed and experience based knowledge of multibeam and topographic systems.\nExperience in the use of Beamworkx and/or Qinsy (QPS software).\nKnowledge of MS office (specifically Word and Excel).\nThe capability to lead data acquisition, equipment installation and mobilisations.\nThe ability to work independently, with a proactive mentality.\nFull UK driving licence and Right to Work in the UK.\nDesirable\nPrevious experience in mobilisation of Hydrographic equipment and vessels.\nWork within the dredging/marine construction sector\nDredgeview Software experience\nDrone (LiDAR/Photogrammetry) survey experience\n What you can expect:\nA dynamic environment: A job where you can make an impact as part of a diverse, international team of experts.\nRewarding conditions: As well as offering a competitive salary we give industry leading benefits, including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (based on a full-time contract), a generous pension package, with the opportunity to add flexible benefits.\nCareer development: Plenty of opportunities to realise your full potential with training and development through our Boskalis Academy\nExtra Information:\nYour team: Reporting to the Survey Manager in the Survey department.\nWhere you will work: We have multiple roles based in the Liverpool/NW area, Harwich area and across the UK.\nFull/part-time job: Full time job\nPermanent/Fixed Term: This is a permanent position. \nNext steps: Apply easily by completing the online application form.
