We’re involved in the entire journey from developing and transporting to maintaining and decommissioning these facilities.\n As a Project Surveyor within the Boskalis Central Survey Department, you will make your mark supporting a diverse portfolio of offshore and dredging projects worldwide. Working primarily from the office in Papendrecht, you will be responsible for the technical preparation, coordination, and execution support of multiple survey projects simultaneously.\nYou act as the link between project teams, offshore survey crews, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring that survey activities are planned, executed, and delivered in line with project requirements and Boskalis' quality standards. Although the position is predominantly office-based, occasional travel to project sites, vessels, and client locations is required. Depending on project demands, occasional weekend work may also be necessary.\nYour responsibilities\nPrepare, review, and validate survey methodologies, procedures, and deliverables.\nProvide technical survey support to offshore, dredging, and marine infrastructure projects.\nCoordinate survey activities across multiple projects simultaneously.\nSupport project teams with survey planning, risk assessments, and execution strategies.\nReview and process survey data, quality control reports, and final deliverables.\nAct as a technical focal point for offshore survey personnel, subcontractors, and clients.\nSupport mobilization and demobilization activities for survey spreads and equipment.\nEnsure compliance with company standards, client specifications, and applicable regulations.\nContribute to the development and standardization of survey workflows and best practices.\nParticipate in project visits, vessel inspections, offshore campaigns, and client meetings when required.\nYour qualities and experience\nYou can move ahead as a project surveyor if you have:\nExtensive professional experience in the hydrographic, offshore, or marine survey industry.\nStrong operational survey background with experience gained in offshore environments.\nPrevious senior field-based positions such as Party Chief, Senior Surveyor, Offshore Survey Manager, or similar.\nThorough understanding of hydrographic survey techniques, positioning systems, geodesy, navigation systems, and survey data processing.\nExperience supporting complex offshore construction, dredging, cable installation, renewables, or marine infrastructure projects.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills.\nWillingness to travel occasionally, both nationally and internationally.\nFlexibility to support project activities outside regular office hours and occasionally during weekends.\nFluent in English, both spoken and written.
