In this role, you will be responsible for learning and training to become a Cyber Security Engineer that participates in the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise cyber security technologies, processes, and services. This role assists with security engineering, monitoring, automation, documentation, and operational activities while helping protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational systems and data. \n\nEssential Functions:\nAssist with the implementation, configuration, and administration of cyber security tools and platforms\nParticipate in security monitoring, investigations, testing, and operational support activities\nHelp document security standards, procedures, configurations, and operational processes\nSupport automation, scripting, and process-improvement initiatives that enhance team efficiency and security effectiveness\nLearn and apply cyber security principles across endpoint, identity, cloud, collaboration, network, and data protection technologies\nAssist with security assessments, vulnerability identification, remediation tracking, and validation activities\nCollaborate with engineers, analysts, platform teams, and business partners on security-related projects and initiatives\nContinually develop technical knowledge of security technologies, threats, and best practices through training and hands-on experience\n\nBasic Qualifications\nPursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other related field\nExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)\nStrong verbal written communication skills\nRelevant experience and/or training\nOther education and/or experience as required for the specific projects being developed\nOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)\n\nDesired Qualifications\nPrevious experience working in a team environment\n\nGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
