You will be a trusted source of advice for clients, discussing complex client challenges and offering appropriate recommendations. This role includes both writing and speaking about best practices in audit planning and risk coverage. The Director Analyst of Internal Audit will also lead internal insight discussions among fellow analysts and collaborate with analysts across Gartner’s Assurance Practice.\nWhat you will do:\nCreate innovative, thought provoking, and highly leveraged “must-have insights” content to support senior leaders of data analytics efforts in the Audit functions of the world’s largest companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations\nDevelop new insights and ideas through thought leadership and offer compelling, actionable approaches to client's needs and requests that accelerate the client's ability to act\nDevelop in-depth analysis to identify the root cause of a client’s barriers or overall needs and reframe thinking to drive strategy forward\nDemonstrate thought leadership in establishing insights positions across a team of analysts\nBring provocative, independent insights to Gartner leaders that can evolve the course of a research agenda\nResearch, analyze and predict market trends and shifts to provide clients and vendors with actionable insights\nProvide clients and prospects with actionable advice aligned to their designated content area via virtual or face-to-face interactions\nCreate and deliver high value presentation materials on and off stage for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and client briefings\nSupport BTI and Sales: Provide sales support serving as voice of the market to help Insights teams create content and to drive engagement with clients to make progress against their critical priorities to grow their business\nProvide high quality and timely content peer review\nBuild credibility as an industry expert to represent Gartner insights, methodology and strategy\nActively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions and collaborate effectively with peers in the Insights community\nIdentify research process improvements or develop new processes that help the team and BTI provide excellent service delivery\nBe a mentor and a coach by supporting more junior team members\nBe client-centric while actively seeking to help clients engage regularly and often with Gartner insights and interactions\nWhat you will need:\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred\n10+ years of relevant internal audit or industry experience. \nDemonstrated ability to assess and develop audit coverage strategies for complex technology-related risks (e.g., cybersecurity, IT governance, AI)\nDirect experience leading, performing, or overseeing IT audits, including audits of cybersecurity, IT governance, technology operations, systems, data, or other technology-related risks.\nCISA certification or a comparable technology audit, risk, or security credential is preferred.\nApplicable experience with and deep knowledge of the internal audit leader (or Chief Audit Executive) role as well as an industry perspective\nExposure to or working knowledge of common technology solutions utilized by internal audit leaders, such as audit management software tools\nDemonstrated ability to lead and develop innovative and dynamic internal risk assessment and audit planning processes (including through the use of technology)\nDemonstrated experience working across risk and control groups to improve coordination and risk coverage\nDemonstrated experience developing audit coverage strategies for new and emerging risks\nExecutive presence; can immediately establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders\nStrong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables\nDemonstrated excellence in research and writing ability\nStrong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions\nProficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; can effectively apply patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions to client challenges\nStrong communication skills - able to explain complex concepts concisely and simply\nSubject matter expertise; comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements\nStrong business and financial acumen\nDeep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within subject area as well as the interplay in that market\nAbility to work independently, while also being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflow of others, in a multicultural global team\nLearning agile and adept with navigating highly matrixed environments\nAbility to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels\nWillingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable)\nWho are we?\nAt Gartner, Inc.
