This role is responsible for event technology strategy, vendor management, labor planning, operational execution, inventory oversight, and onsite event leadership.\nThe successful candidate will combine strong operational leadership with hands-on event execution expertise to deliver high-quality experiences for attendees, clients, and Gartner stakeholders.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead Event Technology Operations: Own the end-to-end delivery of AV and event technology services across multiple events, ensuring operational excellence, execution consistency, and high-quality attendee experiences.\nManage Teams & Resources: Lead, train, and develop AV Project Managers, freelance personnel, vendors, and labor partners while driving accountability, performance, and execution standards.\nOversee Budgets, Vendors & Logistics: Manage vendor relationships, labor planning, equipment logistics, inventory, and event budgets while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.\nDrive Operational Planning & Process Improvement: Develop event execution plans, timelines, operational standards, training materials, and scalable processes that support business objectives and event growth.\nPartner with Stakeholders: Collaborate with Conference Managers, Directors, Content teams, Production teams, hotels, and vendors to ensure successful event execution and to resolve operational challenges.\nProvide Onsite Leadership: Serve as the operational lead during critical event phases including setup, rehearsals, live event delivery, and strike while proactively identifying and solving issues in real time.\nWhat You Will Need\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience\n5 years of experience in event operations, AV production, technical event management, production operations, or a related field\nExperience leading vendors, contractors, project teams, and cross-functional stakeholders\nExperience managing event budgets, labor planning, logistics, and operational resources\nStrong project management, organizational, and decision-making skills\nAdvanced knowledge of Audio Visual systems, live event production, and onsite execution\nExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills\nAbility to manage multiple complex priorities within a fast-paced environment\nComfortable working from Gartner's Carrollton warehouse and office location on a regular basis\nAbility to travel extensively, including serving as the lead AV Project Manager for approximately seven or more events annually\nSuccess in This Role Looks Like\nEvents are delivered seamlessly with minimal operational disruption\nVendors, labor, and logistics are proactively managed and executed to plan\nTeams consistently meet execution standards and operational expectations\nBudgets and resources are managed effectively\nOperational processes continue to improve and scale with business needs\nStakeholders view the Manager as a trusted operational leader and partner\nWho are we?\nAt Gartner, Inc. Join us.\nGartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 104,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
