This role consists of assisting with the set-up of annual territory planning and account assignments while also supporting data entry and developing and maintaining reports using various technologies.\n What you’ll do:\nDevelop proficiency in retrieving and transforming account ownership data from warehouse report spreadsheets, a data warehouse, or database environment.\nCollaborate with Global Sales and Operations teams to define and execute territory needs and design profitable territories that align with corporate services strategy and guidelines.\nAssist with the design, development, and modeling of territory assignments and enhancements to existing or new reports and dashboards related to territory planning/administration.\nModel potential scenarios related to the allocation of services professionals (business development and account management executives), current clients, and prospects.\nUnderstand the impact of territory design and account changes on various sales and performance targets, crediting, incentives, and compensation.\nDrive global consistency by ensuring accurate data, account assignments, and support of day-to-day territory assignments to support commission payments.\nRun annual and monthly processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and growth.\nDrive regular and ad-hoc analyses to inform decision-making of Gartner's leaders and C-level executives.\nPartner with internal Variable Comp teams to align territory design with quotas to support accurate compensation.\nEstablish and share best practices related to creating and optimizing territories\nWhat you’ll need:\n1+ years of experience in sales and sales operations, consulting, analytics, variable compensation, or strategy & operations; previous territory management experience preferred but not required.\nDemonstrated mentorship and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to identify problems and work with leadership to develop solutions.\nOriginal/creative thinking and superior problem-solving abilities.\nUnderstanding of analytics and the ability to identify data gaps or biases and their impact on performance and reporting.\nHighly competent user of Excel and PowerPoint, Anaplan experience a plus.\nOverall understanding of sales operations and drivers of sales productivity.\nAbility to work well both independently and on a team in a deadline-driven environment.\nExceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills for direct and frequent conversations with senior leaders in Gartner.\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment on projects.\nAbility to manage ambiguity and independently own projects from start to finish\nWho you are:\nResults-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects while focusing on quality and meeting deadlines.\nFast learner with strong communication and interpersonal skills; team player that excels at collaboration and partnership.\nAdaptable and flexible; open to consistent changes that provide opportunities for growth and improvement.\nConsistently high achiever marked by perseverance, humility, and a positive outlook in the face of challenges\nWhat we offer:\nIn addition to an outstanding work environment with rapid advancement potential, Gartner associates enjoy exceptional compensation and benefits, including:\nAn upbeat, positive culture. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
