The VP, Operations will help optimize, scale, and evolve the Gartner for C-Level Communities (GCC) organization as it continues to grow globally. Acting as a strategic partner to the GVP, GCC Leadership Team and key internal stakeholders, this role will drive organizational effectiveness, operational excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and execution of key business priorities. Reporting directly to the GVP, this role will lead and support strategic initiatives, business planning, operational governance, and internal partnership efforts that enable GCC to achieve its growth objectives and deliver exceptional value to members. This role requires proven experience in business leadership, strategic planning, operational management, and cross-functional collaboration, with a strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive complex initiatives in a global environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the GVP on business priorities, organizational challenges, and growth opportunities.
  • Identify operational gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve effectiveness, scalability, and resource utilization.
  • Drive accountability for strategic priorities and ensure alignment across GCC leadership.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across Gartner.
  • Build trusted partnerships across BTI, Destination Conferences, Global Marketing, Sales, Strategy & Operations, and other key functions.
  • Foster a One Gartner approach by aligning stakeholders around shared objectives and opportunities.
  • Identify and execute initiatives that improve collaboration, drive business outcomes, and enhance the experience of GCC members.
  • Act as GCC point for technology and data integration initiatives
  • Optimize approaches to territory planning for CPMs and develop initiatives that drive CPM productivity
  • Serve as a key liaison between GCC and internal partner organizations, ensuring effective communication, prioritization, and execution.
  • Identify, prioritize, and lead high-impact strategic initiatives aligned with GCC business priorities.
  • Partner with GCC Leadership Team members to design and implement creative, scalable solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Apply rigorous problem-solving frameworks, quantitative analysis, and business insights to support decision-making.
  • Lead change management and implementation efforts for new programs, processes, technologies, and operating models.
  • Provide executive-level visibility into project progress, key findings, recommendations, and business impact.

Education and Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 12-15+ years of progressive business experience, preferably in strategy, operations, consulting, business management, or related leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to drive strategies and solve problems using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Strong commercial business acumen, understanding of business processes, operational strategy, and data analysis.
  • Ability to devise solutions and effectively present to audiences of varying levels of experience/understanding

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 221,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
