The basic requirement of every position is to perform all tasks assigned by the reporting authority.\nAnalyze company, customer, operational, or market data to identify trends and insights\nSupport the development of reports, dashboards, models, and process improvements using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI\nConduct market research and competitive analysis to support business decisions\nMonitor business metrics and help prepare clear summaries for team members and leaders\nCollaborate with business partners to understand needs, gather information, and contribute to practical solutions\nPrepare project documentation, presentations, and process or data flow materials\nAssist with data collection, validation, organization, and quality checks\nPresent project findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship\nTools & Technologies You May Use\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel\nSQL and SQL Server\nPower BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools\nMicrosoft Azure\nAgile or project-based work environments\nProgramming languages or analytical tools such as Python, R, or VB\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills\nInterest in data analysis, business intelligence, finance, or process improvement\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel; exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, or similar tools is a plus\nAbility to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and ask thoughtful questions\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to collaborate effectively with team members and business partners\nAbility to translate data or research into clear, actionable insights\nPrevious coursework, projects, campus involvement, or work experience related to analytics or business is preferred but not required\nEligibility\nCurrently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree\nMust be a rising junior or rising senior during Summer 2027\nOpen to all majors, with preference given to students studying Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, or a related field\nAvailable to work full time from May through August 2027\nPay range is commensurate with education, experience, specialized skills or certifications, etc.\nGas South Base Pay Range\n$18—$22 USD\nOur Purpose and Culture\nAt Gas South, we approach each day knowing we have an opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.
