We foster a motivating work environment that encourages growth, development, and recognition.\nSummary\nA dishwasher/wares wash person will manually load used dishware and cutlery into automatic dishwashing machinery. Further, they will monitor incoming used dishware and cutlery for recyclable items and linens and unload clean dishware items and stack accordingly in corresponding racks.\nOwn transportation is an asset as public transport is limited in the area.\nResponsibilities:\nWork 8 hours rotative shifts that will include weekdays, weekends and holidays\nWork overtime when required, will be frequent during busy season and holiday rotation\nArrive to work on-time and be punctual, cross-training required in different departments\nPass a criminal background check\nComplete paperwork\nCommunicate with supervisors and co-workers\nFollow directions and specs provided by the customers\nWork as a member of a team and respect each other\nWork in a safe manner and follow all safety policies posted\nPush and pull trolleys and other equipment as required\nMust have a discipline free and excellent attendance record\nMust understand and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines\nCompliance with Attendance Policies\nAttend and participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings\nUpholds company policies and safety standards\nAble to lift 35 lbs. as required\nKnowledge and Skills:\nExcellent communicator (oral and written), who demonstrates sound judgment, tact, and works well in high-pressure situations.\nAbility to work independently, organizes work to ensure full proficiency and productivity is achieved\nAbility to handle high volume of work and maintain confidentiality\nMust have excellent attention to detail\nMust be able to multi-task\nAble to adapt to change with sometimes little notice.\nSelf-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.\nAbility to work in an environment that encourages and fosters teamwork, participation, creativity, honesty and mutual respect.\nKnowledge of safe lifting techniques, as regular and repetitive heavy lifting (approx. 35lbs) is required.\nAbility to work shift\nRead, write and follow food specifications and menu guidelines in English\nGood communication skills in English both verbal and written\nEnvironmental Requirements and Working Conditions:\nWill be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise\nSubject to cold temperatures (ranging from +10 degrees Celsius to at or below 0-degrees Celsius)\nSubject to hot temperatures\nWorks with chemicals and industrial cleaning materials\nMust be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to thirty-five (35) pounds\nThis is a physically demanding position - Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours\nRate Of Pay: CA$21.48 per hour\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the individual(s) assigned to this position.
