Start dates March/April.\nAs a Food Packer you will support the operations by completing all assigned tasks in a timely manner while ensuring quality and meeting the required targets.\nWhat will life as a Food Packer in the Gategroup Team look like for you.\n£12.51 per hour \nOvertime @ 1.5 times the hourly rate \n4 on 2 off pattern 08.00 - 16:30 \nInhouse training and development\nComplimentary meals & beverages\nFree Uniform\nCompany sick pay\nFree on-site parking\nPaid Holiday\nRegular shift patterns\nPension scheme to help you save for your future\nBespoke employee support programme, including free counselling sessions\nRefer a friend scheme with generous bonuses for each successful referral\nAccess to a great discount platform, saving you money on everyday purchases and so much more\nCycle to work scheme\nMain Duties and Responsibilities\nTo follow all operating procedures in the course of your duties to the best of your abilities.\nTo ensure the work area is kept safe and as clean as possible.\nMaintain high standards of quality, hygiene, health and safety in line with customer/company specifications\nTo ensure that the standards of cleanliness and house-keeping are within the guidelines laid down in the Company procedures.\nTo report all accidents and take the necessary preventative action.\nTo be able to communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally at all levels.\nTo ensure that relevant entries are made in the diary log and that the log is checked at the beginning of each shift.\nTo be totally flexible within the role and within the unit departments.\nCarry out quality checks with improvement action when required.\nAssist in follow-up of Quality Assurance/Health & Safety reports.\nTo take on any other duties as and when required\nSPECIFIC DUTIES BY DEPARTMENT\nPRODUCTION\nPack food liners in accordance with written specification.\nFrom specification, accurately make up sample and product for all classes.\nConduct temperature, quality, and product date checks.\nSeal flight canisters, trolleys and record numbers.\nEnsure correct marshalling of flights to Dispatch bays in assigned stowing order\nBOND\nThe receipt, handling and appropriate storage of all incoming goods and coordinating / managing stock.\nSort and assemble bars into flights, working as a team to achieve targets\nTo check trolley seals and cross check with customs paper work\nDISHWASH\nGeneral washing, sorting, assembling, packing and positioning of the aircraft equipment\nProcess and strip trolleys and deliver to relevant department\nOff loading and sorting equipment/food and ensuring it is delivered to the correct processing area\nSTORES\nTo load / off-load lorries, stack shelves and replenish equipment/food items.\nFrom specification, accurately palletize shipments.\nConduct quality, and product date checks.\nDaily stock count of the list\nStock rotation\nClean the area\nQualifications:\nEducation\nEducated to High School level.\nWork Experience\nGood standard of English both written and verbal\nWorking knowledge of of Basic Hygiene\nIdeally some experience in a production/manufacturing/stores environment\nExperience of working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.\nSkills & Knowledge\nGood understanding of English both reading and writing\nGood Customer Service skills\nPositive attitude to work\nAble to work to tight deadlines\nTeam worker.\nPrevious experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn. In addition to job - related training, you will develop your skills in team work, time management, multi-tasking, communication and attention to detail.\nAll applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history.
