Reports findings and coordinates efforts with law enforcement agencies as appropriate. Follows up with corrective actions as appropriate to the event and monitors results.\n\nEnsures unit compliance and conducts investigations of violations of TSA, DOT and U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations as alleged by those agencies, reports findings, and follows up with corrective actions as appropriate to the event, and monitors results.\n\nEnsures compliance with company security policies and procedures and company developed security best practices through training, unit reviews and inspections.\n\nAssist with driver compliance management.\n\nManages resolution of security incidents by responding or maintaining contact with unit management, personnel, airport, Amtrak officials or law enforcement as appropriate.\n\nBuilds and maintains rapport with local law enforcement, airports, TSA, and other regulatory agencies.\n\nReports findings of investigations and reviews and recommendations to unit leadership, Area Security Manager and the Director of Regional Security.\n\nAccomplishes organization’s security and compliance mission by completing related work as needed.\n\nManages ID badging and access control system.\n\nManages and maintains relationships with third party security companies as needed to ensure the safety of unit personnel, and security of the building, vehicles and all other company property.\n\n Qualifications\nEducation:\nAt least five (5) years of professional experience in building/facility security or in law enforcement.\n\nPreference for experience in airline, transportation or large manufacturing businesses.\n\nTechnical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)\nASIS International CPP (Certified Protection Professional), or PCI (Professional Certified Investigator) is desirable.\n\nLanguage / Communication Skills:\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills required.\n\nComfortable communicating with all levels of employees, and the ability to interact well with all levels.\n\nAbility to build and develop relationships that will foster a culture of security within large organizations\n\nMulti-lingual skills highly desirable.\n\nJob Dimensions\nGeographic Responsibility: local unit\nType of Employment: Full-time\nTravel %: Travel required up to 10%\nExemption Classification: Exempt\nInternal Relationships: Unit Leadership and staff at all levels, Regional management and resources\nExternal Relationships: Local law enforcement, airport security and other agencies.
