We offer medical, dental and vision plan insurance effective the first of the month following hire date, flexible spending accounts, wellness program, employee assistance program, a 403B retirement plan, & several more offers.\nCompensation\n$17.50/hour\nHours/Schedule\nFull-Time, normal school hours\nProfessional Development Opportunities\nGateway Longview has a strong investment in developing the future leaders of the organization through trainings, advancement opportunities, and a formal leadership pipeline.\nPosition Specific Duties/Responsibilities:\nSupport the implementation of student behavioral plans in collaboration with the educational team.\nImplement behavioral interventions in accordance with Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and individualized treatment plans.\nMaintain timely and professional communication with teachers and related service providers regarding student behavior and progress.\nProvide individualized and small-group academic support as directed by the teacher to help students meet learning goals.\nContribute to lesson planning, instruction, and classroom activities under teacher guidance.\nActively supervise assigned student(s) to ensure safety, engagement, and compliance with IEPs and behavior support plans.\nAssist in maintaining a supportive classroom environment by preparing displays, organizing special activities, transporting students when needed, and engaging with families in coordination with the teacher.\nAccurately complete required documentation, including behavioral incidents, interventions, attendance, school notes, and outcome data, to support student monitoring and program accountability.\nParticipate in required training and professional development opportunities.\nOther duties as assigned\nRequirements\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing classroom needs\nCompetency in implementing behavior strategies and interventions following TCI training\nCollaborative team member with the ability to work independently\nExperience working with students with disabilities and/or diverse learning needs\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism\nAbility to utilize physical restraints in accordance with safety protocols youth after successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training\nQualifications\nU.S. High School Diploma\nPertinent experience and/or training\nValid New York State driver’s license\nAn EEO/AA Agency\nWe want to emphasize that the preferred qualifications are not required and that we are committed to helping our future colleagues develop these preferred skills.
