In this role, you will lead process creation, process review, and workflow design, and maintain the templates, standards, and gates that keep quality consistent across every operational workstream. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Operational Excellence, you will partner closely with subject matter experts across Operations, Fleet Maintenance, Safety, Training, and Engineering to turn operational knowledge into clear, standardized, scalable processes. You will be instrumental in maintaining quality and consistency while driving lean practices and continuous improvement.\nThis role is remote in the USA, with travel to sites.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn processes end to end. Act as the accountable owner for assigned operational processes across workstreams, keeping them current, consistent, and aligned from start to finish.\nDesign and maintain workflows. Build, document, and maintain operational workflows, including process maps, SOPs, RACI charts, and handoffs between teams.\nSet templates and standards. Create and maintain standard templates for processes, SOPs, work instructions, and change requests so documentation looks and works the same everywhere.\nRun process gating. Run quality gates and approvals for new and changed processes so they meet quality, safety, and readiness standards before rollout.\nLead process creation. Partner with stakeholders to scope, design, and launch new processes as operations and markets grow.\nRun process reviews. Hold regular reviews to audit existing processes, find gaps or drift, and drive updates.\nPartner with subject matter experts. Work closely with SMEs to capture expertise, validate process design, and secure adoption by the teams doing the work.\n Drive lean practices. Apply lean tools (value stream mapping, waste elimination, standard work, root cause analysis) to simplify workflows and improve quality and efficiency.\nManage process change. Own version control and change management for process updates, working with Training to make sure changes are communicated and trained before rollout.\nImprove continuously. Gather feedback from the field and turn it into targeted process improvements.\nWhat We're Looking For\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n5+ years of experience in process engineering, operational excellence, quality, program management, or business process management.\nExperience owning and maintaining processes across several teams or workstreams.\nExperience designing workflows, writing SOPs, and building documentation templates.\nExperience running process review or approval mechanisms.\nWorking knowledge of lean principles and tools.\nStrong ability to work with subject matter experts and turn complex operational knowledge into clear, usable processes.\nProficiency with process mapping and documentation tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, Miro, or Confluence.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in autonomous vehicles, trucking, logistics, fleet maintenance, or other safety-critical operations.\nLean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt, or equivalent lean training.\nExperience with quality management systems or frameworks such as ISO 9001.\nExperience in a startup or high-growth environment where processes were still being defined.\nFamiliarity with change management methodologies such as Prosci or ADKAR.\nExperience with workflow tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Smartsheet.\nMore about Gatik\nFounded in 2017 by experts in autonomous vehicle technology, Gatik has rapidly expanded its presence to Mountain View, Dallas-Fort Worth, Arkansas, and Toronto.
