Our mission is to simplify and accelerate biological analysis for biotherapeutic research and development.\nAccountant will manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nOverseeing daily sales transactions and related accounting activities.\nPerforming advanced accounting functions and maintaining accurate financial transactions. \nReconciliating cashflow. \nCross-training and back up in performing other accounting jobs, including, but not limited to purchasing, Sales Order and fulfillment. \nReconciling sync data from Bill.com, Divvy Card and SVB credit cards and resolving syncing errors.\nApplying payment to customer invoices.\nManaging transactions in Bill.com and Divvy Card\nSupporting Sales tax return and Property tax return filing\nResolving account discrepancies by reconciling statements and transactions. \nPerforming duties related to AR, AP, Cash Flow, GL entry and Accounting reporting as requested.\nAssisting in month-end closing, preparing monthly financial reports, and supporting worksheets. \nHelping to improve and automate accounting system processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and workflow optimization.\nLeading and/or participating in business office duties and projects, as requested.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in accounting is required. \nTwo years of experience in Accounting (Experiences in NetSuite and Bill.com are preferred). \nWorking knowledge of US GAAP, procedures, practices, and internal control. \nComputer and accounting application proficiency, with advanced proficiency in Excel (especially Pivot Table, VLOOKUPs, etc.), Microsoft 365. \nAbility to provide business office and accounting services in a start-up environment. \nDemonstrated skill with business judgment, communication, and problem solving. \nDemonstrated experience in defining and implementing process improvements. \nHighly organized, independent, accountable, detail-oriented, multi-tasking, flexible, and accurate, with the ability to meet deadlines.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
