Our mission is to simplify and accelerate biological analysis for biotherapeutic research and development.\nWe are looking for a regular part-time (32 hours per week) IT professional to fill the role of IT Support Specialist at our office in Palo Alto, CA. This an administrative position that will report to the Human Resources Manager.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nManaging Microsoft 365 accounts, phone, internet system, and cell phone users.\nTroubleshooting server and WAP issues as they arise.\nDiagnosing software and applications issues.\nManaging server-based software licenses.\nCommunicating with outside support as needed.\nSupporting customers via phone or via telecommunications.\nInstalling and configuring hardware, software, systems, and networks on both PCs and Macs.\nInstalling and configuring PCs, printers, and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Managing outside service and supplies for copiers and printers\nProviding support to conference room set up.\nInstalling new hardware and software upgrades requested from users.\nConducting analysis and troubleshooting via telephone, email, and by using remote assistance.\nResolving technical problems with computing equipment and software.\nAssisting visitors and VIPs with the ongoing usability of PC, peripheral devices, and software.\nProviding on-site technical support and end-user technical training, including on-boarding and off-boarding employees. \nProviding technical support for IT services in conference rooms.\nInstalling and performing maintenance on proprietary system/s.\nProviding timely resolution of end user problems in an accurate manner.\nManaging IT assets and inventory.\nManaging facility maintenance scheduling\nInstalling PC for Gator instrument sold to customers.\nAny additional duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nB.A. degree preferred. IT certifications a plus.\nDrive for excellent customer service support (internal & external).\nAbility to work cross-functionally across all departments.\nKnowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware, and other equipment.\nExperience in IT Support is a big plus.\nUnderstanding of PC/MacOS technology.\nHigh level of organizational skills and attention to detail.\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
