This role partners closely with operations leadership, apprenticeship instructors, and experienced craft professionals to assess skill levels, design targeted training solutions, and deliver hands-on, skills-based instruction.\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced electrical professional with a passion for developing others, strong instructional abilities, and a deep understanding of construction jobsite realities.\nKey Responsibilities\nCraft Training & Instruction\nAssess commercial/industrial electrical craft skills and employee development needs across operations\nFacilitate hands-on electrical craft assessments to identify individual and group training needs\nDesign, develop, and deliver skills-based electrical training aligned to company goals\nSupport and strengthen apprenticeship and career pathway programs\nDeliver training using effective adult learning and field-appropriate teaching methods\nProgram Design & Continuous Improvement\nPlan and coordinate training content, delivery schedules, logistics, and materials\nEvaluate the effectiveness of craft education and apprenticeship programs\nContinuously review and improve curriculum, engagement strategies, and instructional practices\nResearch internal and external best practices and recommend improvements\nVisit job sites and collaborate with project teams to develop job site specific training.\nCollaboration & Coaching\nPartner with operational leadership to align training initiatives with workforce needs\nCoach experienced electrical craft employees who serve as trainers on curriculum delivery and facilitation techniques\nCommunicate clearly and effectively with field leadership, instructors, and trainees\nRequired Experience & Qualifications\nEducation & Certification\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nCompletion of an electrical apprenticeship or six (6) years of experience as a commercial/industrial electrician\nExperience\nJourneyman-level or higher commercial/industrial electrical construction experience\nPrevious experience delivering training, instruction, or education within the commercial/industrial construction or electrical industry\nStrong hands-on knowledge of electrical systems, tools, safety practices, and jobsite operations\nExperience with skills assessment, apprenticeship programs, or workforce development strongly preferred\nSkills & Competencies\nAbility to design and deliver engaging, skills-focused training\nStrong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills\nEffective written and verbal communication\nCollaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally\nCalm, professional demeanor in high-pressure or emotionally charged situations\nAdaptable and comfortable working in active construction environments\n\nWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements\nThis role involves regular presence on active construction jobsites and requires the ability to:\nAdhere to Gaylor’s internal safety protocols\nWear required personal protective equipment (PPE)\nWalk, climb, bend, kneel, reach overhead, and work on feet for extended periods\nNavigate unfinished structures using OSHA-approved ladders or stairs\nWork in varying weather conditions and noisy environments\nLift up to 20 pounds as needed\nMaintain required tools while
