Reports directly to the assigned Project Manager with guidance provided by the corporate Safety Director. Travel may be required.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and implement an accident prevention program and training plan to meet project safety specs and requirements. \nIdentify safety work permits and assure compliance with project contract plans. \nConduct incident/investigation reporting in a timely manner. \nEvaluates results of safety program efforts as reported through various sources and determines appropriate actions. \nOversees and administers Company 'Toolbox Talks' program. Selects and distributes topics for timely presentation. \nParticipates in loss control programs: employee injuries, health claims, equipment damage, material damage, job site security, and employee safety training. \nParticipates in the enforcement of Company safety policies and procedures as well as special projects. \nPrepares statistical reports as requested. Maintains all necessary records and files for reporting and auditing purposes. \nHandles safety inquiries/situations through direct personal action. \nPrepares, composes, and initiates correspondence, memoranda, presentation material, and reports. \nParticipates/assists the Education Department with safety training, OSHA training and safety certifications. \nMakes routine job site safety inspections. \nMay serve as liaison with the community or other external agencies with regard to Company/Department activities, programs, and needs. \nOrganizes and prioritizes workload to meet deadlines. \nAnswers safety related inquiries, provides information and/or redirects inquiries as appropriate. \nAssists Safety Director with presentations and organization of Company events. \nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Requirements:\nLicense Requirements: In states where required. \nCertifications: OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR (current). OSHA 510 preferred, BCSP Certs preferred (CHST/STSC, etc.)\nEducation: High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience. \nExperience: 3 years titled safety management/administration experience. Knowledge of construction OSHA rules, regulations and record keeping. Strong administrative, computer, organization, and communication skills required.
