This role oversees the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered dental care in a community health setting, ensuring adherence to regulatory, safety, and professional standards.\nAs a key member of the CHW leadership team, the Dental Director provides clinical oversight, supports strategic initiatives, and drives performance improvement for our dental operations. The ideal candidate is both a compassionate provider and an inspiring leader who values collaboration, growth, and innovation in community health.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead and mentor dentists, hygienists, and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality patient care.\n\nDevelop, implement, and maintain dental clinic policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs.\n\nPartner with the COO to manage operational effectiveness, including staffing, scheduling, and budget performance.\n\nConduct performance evaluations to ensure dental providers meet organizational and regulatory standards.\n\nOversee compliance with HRSA, Joint Commission, CDC, and other federal and state program requirements.\n\nProvide direct patient care, including preventive, restorative, periodontal, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery services.\n\nParticipate in organizational strategic planning, board discussions, and clinical quality initiatives.\n\nSupport community outreach and oral health education efforts to promote prevention and care access.\n\nEnsure infection control and sterilization procedures are consistently followed.\n\nPromote a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork across the dental program.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\nDoctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with current Texas licensure through the State Board of Dental Examiners.\n\nMinimum 5 years of hands-on clinical dentistry experience preferred.\n\nExperience in dental program management, training, and quality assurance.\n\nCurrent DEA and DPS registration, CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred).\n\nExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.\n\nBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.\n\nStrong knowledge of dental clinic operations, equipment, and regulatory standards.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.\n\nMust maintain a valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.\n\nAbility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.\n\nWhy Join CHW?\nAt Coastal Health & Wellness, we believe in advancing health equity through accessible, compassionate care.
