As a Software Engineer, a typical day will include the following duties:\nWork closely with the Customer’s product owner and program manager to deliver user stories necessary to realize product vision.\nCoordinate with multiple entities, including mission partners, to ensure tools meet defined requirements.\nSupport data engineering efforts to analyze large data sets to derive data relationships.\nEnsure all application security vulnerabilities are addressed as appropriate by severity to maintain security accreditation.\nMaintain all source code in Customer-wide, remote Git repository and capture relevant project documentation per Customer documentation resources and practices.\nRequired Skills and Demonstrated Experience\nDemonstrated experience building and maintaining secure Java 8+ web applications using the Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.\nDemonstrated experience supporting projects using Python.\nDemonstrated experience building and maintaining modern client-side interfaces using industry-standard UI frameworks, JavaScript, Typescript, and React.\nDemonstrated experience designing, developing, querying, and maintaining ElasticSearch and related technologies.\nDemonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.\nDemonstrated experience developing PL/SQL database scripts, including procedures, functions, exception handlers, and triggers.\nDemonstrated experience writing and tuning complex queries against structured and unstructured data sets.\nDemonstrated experience developing, documenting, and maintaining secure and scalable REST APIs.\nDemonstrated experience integrating services using messaging technologies, including service buses, publish and subscribe, and MQ.\nDemonstrated experience managing and developing software applications in an AWS environment.\nDemonstrated experience working with geo-locational data at both the backend and the application tier.\nDemonstrated experience developing software in a DevOps environment.\nDemonstrated experience maintaining Jenkins Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with automated testing and deployment.\nDemonstrated experience using Git as a source code repository.\nHighly Desired Skills and Demonstrated Experience\nDemonstrated experience working with big data processing and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, ElasticSearch, MapReduce, and HBase.\nDemonstrated experience with Apache NiFi.\nDemonstrated experience with the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.\nDemonstrated experience managing and mitigating IT security vulnerabilities using Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs), and applying FISMA security
