Join a global team of 550+ professionals building infrastructure and software that supports the entire digital ecosystem.\nWe are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer/SRE to join our Edge Cloud IaaS Team.\n Our Edge Cloud platform powers virtual machines, networking and storage services across a globally distributed infrastructure spanning 210+ edge locations and 50+ cloud regions. As part of the team, you’ll help build, operate and evolve the platform that delivers reliable, scalable and high-performance cloud infrastructure to customers around the world.\nYou’ll work on large-scale Linux infrastructure, automate infrastructure lifecycle management, improve platform reliability and solve complex operational challenges across compute, networking and storage. If you enjoy understanding systems at a deep level, building automation and operating cloud infrastructure at scale, we’d love to hear from you.\nWhat You Will Do\nDeploy and operate Linux-based infrastructure supporting our Edge Cloud platform.\nBuild, automate and improve infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management.\nPlan and execute infrastructure maintenance with minimal customer impact.\nTroubleshoot complex issues across compute, networking, virtualisation and storage layers.\nImprove the reliability, scalability and observability of our cloud platform.\nDesign, implement and improve infrastructure automation and deployment workflows using GitLab CI, Ansible and Terraform.\nCollaborate with engineers across infrastructure, networking and platform teams to continuously improve our services.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.\n What We're Looking For\n4+ years of production experience as a DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure Engineer.\nStrong Linux administration skills and experience operating production infrastructure at scale.\nHands-on experience with OpenStack.\nExperience with infrastructure automation using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.\nSolid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching and troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with virtualization systems such as KVM, Libvirt, and QEMU.\nAbility to write Python and Bash scripts to automate operational work.\nPassion for technology and curiosity to understand how systems work at a low level.\nComfortable working in a production environment and participating in an on-call rotation.\nGenuine curiosity about how systems work, and comfort diagnosing issues down to the hardware layer.\nNice to Have\nExperience with Ceph or other distributed storage systems.\nExperience with Puppet.\nExperience setting up and tuning monitoring/alerting stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Alert manager.\nExperience with baremetal provisioning tools such as Ironic, PXE or MAAS.\nExperience working in a hosting or cloud service provider environment.\n Benefits\nAt Gcore, we want you to do your best work and enjoy the journey.
