The role focuses on automation, DevOps practices, and software development, while also requiring a solid understanding of networking fundamentals. You will help improve infrastructure reliability and scalability through automation and integration of systems.\nThis role is a great opportunity if you enjoy building modern infrastructure, working with cutting-edge technologies, and automating everything that can be automated. You'll help design and support big and mission-critical systems and take part in developing automation tools that make infrastructure more reliable and efficient.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWrite and maintain software to solve complex network management and monitoring tasks. This includes deploying and auditing network device configurations, automating validation and testing procedures, and monitoring network health and performance with visualization and alerting.\n\nCollaborate with multiple Engineering teams to incorporate network automation solutions into deployment pipelines.\n\nDrive automation at all stages of software development, release, and operations.\n\nResearch and stay up to speed on network automation industry trends and projects, and apply them to improve team efficiency and innovation.\n\nSupport Linux-based environments and containerized applications and services (NMS, telemetry, flowspec and routing controllers, syslog, tacacs, netflow services)\n\nQualifications\nProfessional Experience:\nBackground in networking (TCP/IP, IP routing protocols)\n\nExperience with Unix-based systems administration\n\nExperience with network vendor devices (Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia) and their automation interfaces\n\nExperience in developing systems using Python\n\nTechnical Skills:\nProgramming & Scripting:\nProficiency in Python (scripting, automation, and working with data)\n\nNetwork Fundamentals:\nA deep understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF\n\nDevOps & Automation Tools:\nHands-on experience with Docker.\n\nKnowledge of monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana).\n\nFamiliarity with Ansible for automation and configuration management.\n\nFamiliarity with git and CI/CD tools.\n\nExperience with databases (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse).\n\nExperience with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and data formats like JSON and YAML\n\nNice to Have\nKnowledge of Python frameworks such as Django, DRF, FastAPI\n\nExperience with React for building internal tools and dashboards\n\nAdvanced networking knowledge: Flowspec, Telemetry, gNMI\n\nProgramming experience with Go\n\nSoft Skills\nGood teamwork and problem-solving abilities.\n\nFluent English\n\nAdditional Information\nBenefits\nAt Gcore, we want you to do your best work and enjoy the journey.
