At Gcore, you’ll help design and deliver that foundation for an AI-driven world.\nWe’re a global provider of infrastructure and software solutions for AI, cloud, network, and security, powering everything from real-time communication and streaming to enterprise AI and secure web applications. With 210+ edge locations, 50+ cloud regions, and thousands of GPUs, your work here can reach users and businesses across the globe.\nYou’ll collaborate with leading technology partners such as Intel, NVIDIA, Dell, and Equinix, and work on platforms that power digital products used around the world. Our vision is simple: to connect the world to AI, anywhere, anytime.\nWant to work on technology that goes beyond a single product or industry? Join a global team of 550+ professionals building infrastructure and software that supports the entire digital ecosystem.\nWe are currently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager, who will independently run projects that deploy and change Gcore infrastructure - from intake through hand-over to operations and formal closure.\nThis is not a role for learning the basics: we expect someone who already runs complex projects end-to-end, makes operational decisions without day-to-day oversight, and resolves priority and resource conflicts on their own.\n Projects are initiated by internal product teams (CDN, Cloud, Edge AI, DDoS) or by Technical Support on behalf of external customers. At this level, the PM owns more than Jira tracking: the quality of the plan, realistic timelines, a sound budget estimate, risk management, and coordination of several parallel work streams - architects, procurement, logistics, data centre engineers, and operations teams.\nWe expect you to take on technically and organisationally complex projects - a large deployment at a new site, or a multi-vendor integration, and deliver them with minimal involvement from your manager, while proactively communicating status and risks.\nProjects you will run:\nPoP build-outs and colocation - new sites, expansion of existing ones, racks and cage space in third-party data centres.\nServer and network hardware deployments for internal product demand and for external customers (dedicated hardware, managed connectivity).\nCapacity expansion, hardware refresh, and decommissioning.\nConnectivity and interconnection procurement - IP transit, cross-connects, dark fibre, wavelengths, leased lines, in coordination with the Procurement team.\nMigrations and relocations of physical equipment between sites.\nWhat You’ll Do\nEnd-to-end project ownership\nSetting the project up in Jira (GI master ticket), breaking it down into tasks, and building a realistic schedule that accounts for dependencies.\nIdentifying the critical path and key risks at kick-off - without waiting for your manager to do it.\nOrchestrating linked tasks across counterpart teams' Jira projects: IDS (architecture), PRO (procurement), DCI (on-site installation), HDWR (repair and replacement). Knowing where the work physically lives, and reporting on the active linked tickets, not just the master ticket.\nMaking operational decisions inside the project yourself. Escalating only what sits outside your authority: budget, priorities between projects, conflicts with other departments - and bringing a recommendation when you do.\nBudget estimation and approvals\nOwning the project budget at the Initiation stage: reviewing the cost estimate built on the architect's specification - breakdown by NRC / MRC and by component (colocation, leased lines, hardware, small parts) - and benchmarking it against comparable past projects and reference cost tables.\nDriving the project through the approval chain, tracking approval turnaround, and handling objections.\nReconciling budget plan versus actuals at project closure.\nTechnical design and architecture\nBriefing the Infrastructure Architects team (RFS / HLD / SDD) and contributing substantively to discussions on BoM, rack layout, power, and network.\nThe architect owns the specification - what is bought and where it is shipped. The PM controls it against the project's scope, timeline, and budget, and gets it approved.\nBeing able to tell a realistic technical plan from an unrealistic one, and challenging the design where it doesn't fit the project's constraints.\nProcurement\nRaising requests to the Procurement team based on the architect's specification, setting the deadline and project context, and tracking execution. Vendor negotiations are run by Procurement.\nMonitoring request and PO statuses, and escalating early when timelines are at risk.\nLogistics and delivery to site\nRaising delivery requests to the Logistics team based on the architect's specification (what goes where), setting deadlines, and tracking execution. Shipping, customs, warehousing, and delivery to the data centre are run by the Logistics team.\nTracking ETAs and escalating early when delivery is at risk of slipping.\nOn-site installation\nBriefing the DCIM team on equipment installation: agreeing installation windows, tracking timelines and quality of execution.\nHandling discrepancies found at acceptance: missing equipment, equipment routed to stock, equipment routed to repair.\nHand-over to operations\nRunning the hand-over to the Server Operations and Network Operations teams. These teams sit outside the Infrastructure Department, so the hand-over requires explicit agreements on content, quality, and timing: documentation, configurations, monitoring on-boarding.\nOrganising and confirming acceptance testing, formally closing the project (sign-off), and capturing lessons learned.\nRisk and stakeholder management\nIdentifying risks proactively, before they become problems, and proposing options rather than only reporting the issue.\nCommunicating regularly and substantively with stakeholders at different levels: product teams, vendors, operations teams, leadership.\nAgreeing responsibility boundaries (RACI) with customers and partners on customer-facing and partner projects.\nManaging scope changes: assessing impact on timeline and budget, getting agreement, recording it in Jira.\nFlow and metrics (Kanban)\nThe team operates as a Kanban system: no sprints, with WIP limits and flow metrics. Jira statuses are the source of truth for all reporting, so status hygiene is part of the job rather than a nice-to-have: tickets move when work actually starts and finishes, not at the end of the week and not retroactively.\nUnderstanding the difference between Customer Lead Time (what the requester experiences) and System Lead Time (what the team controls), working to the target P85 for your components, and acting on your own Aging WIP before your manager has to point it out.\nProcess improvement\nDriving improvements to processes and templates inside IPM: RACI, readiness checklists, documentation standards, status entry and exit criteria - spotting what slows projects down and proposing concrete fixes.\n What We're Looking For:\nMinimum 3 years in project management in infrastructure, data centres, telecom, or IT operations, including projects with multiple counterpart teams or vendors. Running complex projects without step-by-step support is a hard requirement.\nSolid understanding of server and network hardware and how a data centre works: racks, PDUs, power and cooling, basic network topology (switches, cross-connects, IP addressing) - at a level sufficient for a substantive conversation with architects and engineers, not just to recognise the terminology.\nExperience with Jira (or an equivalent tracker) at project-administration level: linking tasks across projects, working with workflows and fields, not only changing statuses.\nA high degree of personal ownership and autonomy: you keep your projects under control, surface risks yourself, and keep the team informed on substance without being asked.\nAbility to work with ambiguity and to run several projects and workstreams in parallel.\nEnglish at B2 or above - enough for correspondence and negotiation with international partners and vendors. Documentation is written in English.\nStrong communication skills: able to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nNice to have:\nExperience with flow-based management (Kanban) and with Lead Time, Throughput, and WIP metrics.\nExperience in customer-facing or multi-partner projects with a formal RACI.\nExperience with budget estimation for infrastructure projects (NRC / MRC, colocation, leased lines).\nProject management certification (PMP, Kanban Management Professional, or similar).\nExperience working in a distributed international team.\n Benefits\nAt Gcore, we want you to do your best work and enjoy the journey. Our benefits are designed to support your growth, well-being, and life beyond work:\nCompetitive compensation \nFlexible working hours and hybrid or remote options, depending on your role \nWork from anywhere in the world for up to 45 days per year \nPrivate medical insurance for you and your family* \nExtra paid vacation and sick leave days* \nSupport for life’s important moments and celebrations \nLanguage courses to help you connect and grow \nModern, welcoming offices with snacks, drinks, and entertainment* \nTeam sports and social activities* \n*Benefits may vary depending on your location.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nWe provide equal opportunity to all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, disability, or any other legally protected characteristics.","description_format":"text","description_chars":9691,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"Upper-Intermediate (B2)","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Flexible schedule","Health insurance"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Georgia","iso":"GE","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Cloud Platforms (IaaS & PaaS)","CDN & Edge Delivery","AI Compute & Inference","Web Security & DDoS Protection"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-11-02T14:49:32Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":27,"reasons":["conf:1","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-11-03T05:54:40Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/gcore-senior-infrastructure-project-manager","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/gcore-senior-infrastructure-project-manager.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-03T23:15:33Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1870,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-04T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":6268},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=6268"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fgcore-senior-infrastructure-project-manager"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fgcore-senior-infrastructure-project-manager"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fgcore-senior-infrastructure-project-manager"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/gcore-senior-infrastructure-project-manager\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fgcore-senior-infrastructure-project-manager"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3612261}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"gcore.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3612261},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
