Join a global team of 550+ professionals building infrastructure and software that supports the entire digital ecosystem.\nWe are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our Billing Team that maintains and supports Gcore's Billing Engine - a crucial and highly integrated system essential for managing financial transactions and supporting the seamless delivery of our global services. Your work will significantly influence our financial operations' efficiency and reliability, underpinning the company's robust infrastructure and facilitating our ongoing growth.\n What You’ll Do\nBuild and maintain efficient back-end features in Python together with a production team;\nImprove applications performance and reliability;\nDefine REST APIs and integrate them into our solutions;\nPlay a role in architectural and design decisions, building toward an efficient distributed application and services architecture, and improving delivery pipelines and processes.\n We Expect You to Have:\nStrong knowledge of software development principles and a thorough understanding of the entire software development lifecycle.\nExpertise in Python programming and significant experience with the Django framework.\nExtensive experience working with relational databases, particularly Postgres, writing, analyzing, and optimizing SQL queries.\nExperience with message brokers (RabbitMQ) and asynchronous task queues (Celery).\nProficiency in creating and consuming APIs.\nUnderstanding of modern CI/CD practices, observability tooling and basic DevOps principles.\nVerbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate remotely with a globally distributed international team.\nWill be a Plus:\nSolid understanding of containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes.\nStrong grasp of software engineering best practices, including Agile and test-driven development.\nKnowledge of additional backend technologies and frameworks.\nExperience with system monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques.\nA proactive mindset towards improving and scaling a complex system.\nPrior experience with billing or payment systems.\n Benefits\nAt Gcore, we want you to do your best work and enjoy the journey.
