We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Embedded Test Engineer to join our team at Technopark Zurich. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of embedded Jamming systems in a Linux-based environment, supporting advanced wireless and signal-processing applications.\nYou will work closely with development teams to design and execute comprehensive test strategies for embedded systems running on modern System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms, with a strong focus on system integration, APIs, and user-facing interfaces such as web-based GUIs.\nYour Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain test strategies and test plans for embedded Linux systems (HW/FW/SW)\nDevelop and execute automated and manual test cases at unit, integration, and system levels (HW/FW/SW)\nValidate and verify APIs and system interfaces\nTest software running on System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms, including hardware-software integration\nPerform testing and validation of web-based GUIs (frontend and backend interactions)\nIdentify, document, and track defects, and support debugging and root cause analysis\nDevelop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools\nCollaborate closely with embedded software developers, hardware engineers, and system architects\nEnsure compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement of testing processes\nYour Profile\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field\nProven experience in embedded system testing (HW/FW/SW)\nStrong understanding of Linux systems (user space and/or kernel-level interactions)\nExperience with test automation (e.g., Python, shell scripting, or similar)\nExperience in testing APIs (e.g., REST, RPC)\nFamiliarity with SoC architectures and embedded hardware environments\nExperience testing web-based applications/interfaces\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nFluent English (mandatory); German is a strong advantage\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with RF-Systems, RF-Measurement techniques and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing or system-level validation\nKnowledge of networking and communication protocols\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments\nFamiliarity with version control systems such as Git\nExperience in wireless communication or signal-processing systems\nWe offer you\nThe opportunity to play an active and meaningful role in shaping the future of our globally active company and to develop yourself within the company.
