Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Software.\n Preferred experience for this role:\nDesigns and develops new brushed and multiphase brushless DC electric motors.\nImproves existing designs to reduce cost, improve performance or manufacturability.\nConducts detailed reviews of customer specifications.\nPrepares or directs preparation of product and/or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics.\nPerforms design experiments related to motor designs and develops test methods, from concept to planning and execution stage.\nDirects and coordinates manufacturing and testing of prototype products and/or systems.\nAssist in trouble shooting prototype building and/or production when necessary.\nConducts motor performance predictions by analyses of actual data and through the development of design related algorithms in addition to the existing methods.\nMay act as project engineer support on selected projects.\nInterface with customers for as required to support existing products or for new development opportunities.\nPhysical Requirements\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.\nRequires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.\nMay need to stand for long periods of time.\nWork may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.\nThis position is Safety-Sensitive.\nTravel Requirements\nUp to 25% travel likely.Pay Range (USD)\n137/k-186/kPay Transparency Statement\nThe salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position.
