Ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.Impact of the Role\nGeneral Profile\nManages professional employees and/or supervisors \nMust have at least one professional expert or one supervisor as a direct report\nHas accountability for the performance and results of a team within own area of specialty\nAdapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges\nDecisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and department plan; receives guidance from manager \nProvides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers\nConsistent exercise of discretion & judgment\nEssential Functions\n Manages the organization's portfolio of engineering projects through a team of Engineering Project Managers.\n Develops and implements project management practices, processes, methodologies, and metrics. \n Oversees engineering projects, identifies expected outcomes, establishes timelines, and assigns project staff. \n Reviews reports detailing project status and presents updates to project stakeholders. \n Ensures projects are completed on time, within established quality standards, and in compliance with design specifications.\n Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.\nRequired Qualifications\nRequired education and experience: Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience\n Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\nPreferred Qualifications\nPreferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree\n Knowledge, skills & abilities: Leadership Skills. Project management software.\nManage all technical aspects of multiyear ordnance production program(s)\nProvide leadership and guidance to a multidisciplinary engineering team, including project engineers, test engineers, and other technical staff, ensuring effective collaboration and achieving project goals.\nDemonstrated experience in supervising diverse engineering teams, with a focus on managing performance, fostering professional development, and maintaining alignment with organizational objectives.\nWork collaboratively in an IPT with other functions and customer representatives\nServe as primary technical interface for customers and suppliers, working closely with technical counterparts\nSupport risk management activities\nStrong understanding of ordnance production and testing\nHave an understanding of test systems (digital data acquisition test systems)\nProficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing IAW ASME Y14.5\nBroad experience in manufacturing technology for aerospace and defense products\nStrong technical writing and analytical skills including statistical analysis.\nPhysical Requirements\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.\nWork primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.\nTravel Requirements\nUp to 25% travel likely._____________________________\nThe above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
