We invite you to apply to join our team of employees who are dedicated to excellence that meet the needs of the warfighters and our customers around the world, day in and day out.Job Summary\nSupports general business operations by providing various transportation and related support activities as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines in the Transportation Services and Administration FunctionImpact of the Role\nGeneral Profile\nRequires full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience\nCompletes a variety of atypical assignments\nWorks within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments\nWorks with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments \nActs as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience\nPerforms manual tasks according to established procedures\nEssential Functions\nOperates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. \nOperates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. \nConducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. \nManages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. \nCoordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. \nMaintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. \nRequired Qualifications\nRequired education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience\nOther: CDL-A with hazmat endorsement required \nPreferred Qualifications\nPreferred education and experience: Associate's Degree\nDiscipline/Major: Technical training preferred\n Knowledge, skills & abilities: Shipping Documentation. DOT Regulations. Loads/Secures /Unloads Cargo. Maintain Travel Logs. Transport Cargo. Vehicle Safety Checks.
