The role will work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to support current production, expansion, startup activity, and long-term manufacturing capability development.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nProvide hands-on technical support for laser and robotics/automation equipment used in manufacturing operations.\nPerform and support preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and long-term capability sustainment.\nTroubleshoot equipment, system, and process issues involving lasers, robotics/automation, optics, alignment, cleaning, and casting completion technologies.\nSupport equipment setup, startup, recovery, and day-to-day production needs across the shop.\nProvide technical coverage for key manufacturing technologies that cannot be independently owned or sustained by operators or contractors.\nPartner with engineering, maintenance, quality, and operations teams to resolve technical issues and improve process performance.\nSupport installation, readiness, startup, and scale-up activities for new or expanding manufacturing capabilities, including Madisonville-related support needs, if applicable.\nDocument maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support activities in accordance with site requirements.\nHelp develop and sustain standard work, equipment care practices, and technician knowledge in laser and robotics applications.\nMaintain a strong focus on safety, quality, compliance, and operational excellence.\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate degree from an accredited university or a high school diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution\nDesired Characteristics\nHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn\nTransparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively\nFocused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed \nLeadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative\nProblem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker\nExperience supporting, maintaining, or troubleshooting manufacturing, automation, robotic, or inspection equipment.\nDemonstrated hands-on mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to read and interpret technical documentation, equipment manuals, specifications, and work instructions.\nAbility to work effectively across functions in a production environment.\nExperience with robotics, factory automation, or robotic cell support.\nExperience with laser-based manufacturing equipment.\nFamiliarity with optics, fixturing, alignment, and process troubleshooting.\nExperience supporting equipment installation, startup, qualification, or manufacturing expansion efforts.\nKnowledge of preventive maintenance systems and continuous improvement principles.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple technical priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nExperience supporting specialized manufacturing processes such as cleaning or casting completion is a plus.\nGE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
