We are a team of the nation’s best, regardless of where we live.The AI&T Technician will Assemble, Integrate, and Test all aspects of Intergalactic's aerospace systems and components, to execute on program mission successes, delivering quality hardware, and aiding the programs on all strategic, contractual, and tactical milestones from when the program is awarded to the final delivery of contracted intellectual and physical product to the customer.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nExecute precise assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) procedures for various spacecraft subsystems, including structural, propulsion, avionics, and payload components.\nPerform functional tests, continuity checks, and environmental testing (e.g., thermal vacuum, vibration) on integrated systems according to detailed test plans and procedures.\nOperate and maintain specialized test equipment, tools, and cleanroom environments, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.\nDocument all AIT activities meticulously, including test results, anomaly reports, and configuration changes, utilizing relevant software and databases.\nCollaborate effectively with engineering teams to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.\nParticipate in pre-shipment inspections and prepare flight hardware for delivery, ensuring all documentation and packaging requirements are met.\nAdhere strictly to all safety protocols, cleanroom procedures, and quality assurance guidelines.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of AIT processes and procedures.\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate's degree in aerospace engineering technology, electronics technology, mechanical technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.\n2+ years of hands-on experience in assembly, integration, and testing of high-reliability hardware, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.\nProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions.\nDemonstrated experience with precision hand tools, measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes), and specialized test fixtures.\nStrong understanding of cleanroom protocols and ESD control procedures.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nBasic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.\nAbility to lift up to 25 pounds and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.\nMust be a US citizen or permanent resident due to ITAR restrictions.\nThis role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek.
