Join us and see your ideas take flight!\nJob Description\nSite Overview:\nOur Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nAssist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of machining operations, including CNC programming, tool selection, and fixture design.\nSupport the setup, calibration, and maintenance of various machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and specialized CNC machinery.\n Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap.\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of new machining techniques, tooling, and automation solutions.\nConduct quality inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications and design requirements.\nMaintain accurate records of machining parameters, production data, and quality control results.\nContribute to the creation and revision of manufacturing work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols related to machining.\nAdhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.\nSupport cost reduction efforts through material optimization, process efficiency, and waste reduction in machining operations.\nThe Ideal Candidate:\nCandidate with min 4+ years of experience in w CNC programming\nRequired Qualification:\nDiploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.\n4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to machining processes.\nBasic understanding of CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and CAD/CAM software.\nFamiliarity with various machining techniques (turning, milling, drilling, grinding, etc.) and associated tooling.\nKnowledge of metrology and experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.\nClosing:\nWhether we are manufacturing components for our engines, driving innovation in fuel and noise reduction, or unlocking new opportunities to grow and deliver more productivity, our GE Aerospace teams are dedicated and making a global impact.
