Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nThe position will report to the NDT Level 3 / Quality Manger.\nResponsible to carry out inspections in NDT per internal QMS procedural requirements.\nWork closely with manufacturing / production & Quality system teams to develop and implement AS 9100 procedures & systems & support driving end to end production quality flow downs.\nWillingness to work & get qualified to Cross functional quality cells along with working with HPT teams for daily analysis of yield improvement , EHS & process improvisation projects.\nContribute to continual improvement through audit programs, assessment / of various non-conformances and driving corrective actions identified through Root Cause Analysis.\nUnderstanding of site quality QMS procedures & policies.\nUnderstanding of process & yield improvement tools like RCA , KAIZENS , 7 QC tools etc.\nInspecting production hardware , attending to customer complaint analysis & stock verifications where required.\nProviding technical analysis and evaluation both manually and automatically to assigned inspection processes\nProviding training, and support to shop operations, design and manufacturing to assure effective Quality Assurance\nMaintaining awareness of the latest inspection techniques & processes and their beneficial and limiting aspects for optimum application\nPursuing continuous improvement for quality & cost reductions projects.\nActively contributing to non conformance event management & analysis.\nThe Ideal Candidate:\nHaving NDT certification with OJT records- NAS 410- Level 2 - FPI with 3+ years of experience in Aviation NDT\nRequired Qualification:\nFirst Class Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering\nMinimum of NDT NAS 410 Level 2 FPI / CR (RT) or Completed OJT required for L2 as per NAS 410\nMin 3+ Years of Experience in Aviation industry in the fields of aviation NDT - quality inspection & product acceptance.\nWorking knowledge of AS 9100 and internal requirements.\nStrong working knowledge of GD&T, drawings & specifications interpretation\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAbility to analyse problems, identify root causes and provide solutions\nStrong hands on experience in performing quality inspection checks process control checks & working per GE-Aviation specific customer P specs, GE visual inspection of finished & purchased product norms.\nAbility to handle diverse activities simultaneously and Ability to work in a matrix organisation.\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skills with good oral and written communication skills\nKnowledge of AS 9100 , AMS , S1000 / S1002 standards.\nKnowledge of Aviation / Aerospace NDT standards , ASTM Standards , working knowledge of NAS 410 qualification requirements\nDocumented OJT / past certification copies of NDT NAS 410 certification records mandatory.\nKnowledge of Basic Lean and Six Sigma Methodology\nClosing:\nWhether we are manufacturing components for our engines, driving innovation in fuel and noise reduction, or unlocking new opportunities to grow and deliver more productivity, our GE Aerospace teams are dedicated and making a global impact.
