Check us out! https://www.geaerospace.com/commercial/services/on-wing-support\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities :\nExecute borescope inspections as assigned; validate criteria, record measurements, and coordinate corrective actions.; may hold CRS (Certificate of Release to Service) privileges.\n\nResponsible for performing and documenting inspections per applicable technical references, approved technical references, Repair Station Manuals, and GE policies.\n\nReview and interpret test and inspection data to detect abnormalities, assess engine health, and recommend next steps.\n\nDocument all work performed and book time using the site’s ERP software (SAP).\n\nPartner with cross-functional teams including EHS, quality, engineering, planning, and materials to support operational initiatives, identify root cause corrective action, and support constant improvement site-wide.\n\nAssist with hands-on engine testing and troubleshooting to identify issues, validate engine condition, and support critical maintenance decisions.\n\nContribute to all aspects of the engine testing, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting procedures in accordance with Standard Work, appropriate technical references, Repair Station Manuals, and GE policies and procedures.\n\nSupport engine test execution and resolve any testing issues by driving root cause corrective action and problem-solving efforts following the appropriate problem-solving tool, Repair Station Manuals, and GE Policies & Procedures.\n\nPerform supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as a part of the site’s 5S and Total Proactive Maintenance initiatives.\n\nProduce accurate, detailed maintenance and inspection records that support quality standards, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.\n\nWork in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment while maintaining high standards of workmanship, precision, and accountability.\n\nHelp maintain inspection equipment, tooling, and workspaces to support efficient and compliant operations.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nMinimum high school diploma / GED with 4+ years of hands-on work experience with advanced inspection and engine test equipment.\n\n1+ years of leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to guide teams and drive execution.\n\nFAA Powerplant License required.\n\nDesired Characteristics:\nBachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Engineering or a related technical field.\n\nProven experience with commercial high-bypass turbofan engine testing, including:\nengine prep and de-prep\n\nengine testing in a test cell or on-wing\n\nline maintenance\n\nengine changes\n\nLRU removal and installation\n\ntroubleshooting and diagnostics\n\nStrong knowledge of aircraft engine systems, components, and maintenance practices.\n\nAbility to read, interpret, and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and inspection criteria with confidence.\n\nExperience identifying defects, assessing engine condition, and using inspection tools and methods to support accurate evaluations.\n\nHands-on experience supporting engine test cell operations.\n\nFamiliarity with turbine engine troubleshooting and performance analysis.\n\nExperience serving as a Test Throttle Operator.\n\nExperience serving as an Engine Test Site Operator.\n\nExperience operating support equipment such as fork trucks, overhead cranes, transporters, and tugs.\n\nWorking knowledge of SAP, Oasis, or similar ERP systems.\n\nAbility to thrive both independently and in a cross-functional team environment.\n\nStrong attention to detail with a clear commitment to safety, quality, and execution excellence.\n\nClear and effective communication and documentation skills.\n\nThis role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek.
