By utilizing teams of GE employees to own, operate, and regulate assembly processes we ensure our engines reach the customer in a quality and timely fashion.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nParticipation in Gemba walks, audits, and contractor auditing\nSupport safety concern investigations with submitter and EHS council representatives, submit work orders, and ensure countermeasure implementation\nParticipate in and improve Management of Change process\nFacilitate monthly, quarterly, and annual rhythm for Safety Framework baselines and auditing\nSupport Safety Risk Assessments - annual reviews, workstation heat maps, and strength of defenses\nReview and maintain written programs and policies\nComplete injury assessment form investigations\nLead EHS training (Introductory EHS, Fire extinguisher, Ergo, Powered Industrial Truck, Crane & Hoist)\nAssist with annual environmental permitting and update as needed (written permit and Enhesa)\nAssist in upholding compliance through Gensuite Compliance Calendar tasks\nOversee waste management system and contractor supportComplete weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspections\nRCRA & DOT Management\nCreate waste profiles, track waste generator status, schedule and assist with waste shipments\n\nSupport events onsite including Kaizens, SFMEAs, VSMs, Shingi events\nSDS review\nSupport weekly EHS council\nParticipate in the Crisis Management Team\nMinimum Required Qualifications\nBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety)\nMinimum 3 years of manufacturing or EHS experience\nDesired Characteristics\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn\nTransparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively\nFocused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed\nLeadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative\nProblem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker\nAbility to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside GE (regulatory agencies).\nGE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
