This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace systems where security and safety intersect, protecting critical infrastructure and ensuring mission success.Job Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nDevelop product cybersecurity processes for documentation, risk management, vulnerability recording, reporting, and incident response.\nConduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments on embedded products with varying levels of safety-criticality.\nAnalyze hardware and software architectures for cybersecurity risks and feasibility of cybersecurity controls.\nSelect and implement appropriate cybersecurity controls to mitigate embedded platform risks.\nDevelop clear, precise technical requirements for cybersecurity implementations in embedded, real-time engine controllers and other aerospace embedded devices.\nCollaborate with external suppliers to ensure robust configuration and implementation of cybersecurity controls in the embedded product.\nCreate and execute requirements-based test plans to validate security controls.\nEnsure timely completion of contract deliverables while maintaining quality standards.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, software developers, and program management.\nDevelop and maintain embedded software and tools using programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink.\nBe responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.\nPrepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, software code, and reports.\nWork closely with other engineering teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to integrate control systems and embedded software with other engine components.\nEnsure that control systems and embedded software comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.\nLead LEAN initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and software quality.\nOwn and conduct process improvements within Standard Work documents.\nWork with Product Line Leaders to understand product requirements and gather and translate customer requirements into executable product specifications. \nProvide timely communications on significant issues or developments.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in software, electronics engineering, or embedded product security\nThis role requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.\nDesired Characteristics / Technical Expertise\nExperience with developing and evaluating anti-tamper designs\nHands-on experience with Risk Management Framework assessments (NIST SP 800-30)\nFamiliarity with RTCA/DO-326A (Airworthiness Security Process Specification)\nFamiliarity with RTCA/DO-356A (Airworthiness Security Methods and Considerations)\nExperience with hardware and/or software reverse engineering\nIn depth knowledge of control theory, signal processing, embedded systems, and software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink.\nExperience with Windows and Unix / Linux based programming.\nExperience working on software projects in the Aerospace domain.\nCertified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner.\nTakes independent responsibility for assigned deliverables.\nHas the ability to break down problems and estimate time for engineering tasks.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\nHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy.\nAdapts to new environments and changing requirements.
